Troy Murphy serves as a Portfolio Manager where he works closely with clients to design and implement customized financial plans and investment portfolios.  He provides proactive advice to ensure portfolios stay aligned with clients’ long-term goals, risk tolerance, and evolving financial circumstances.

Prior to joining Black Diamond, Mr. Murphy worked in the Private Wealth Management division of Goldman Sachs.  As the lead investment professional for a prominent advisory team, he specialized in delivering tailored strategies to ultra-high-net-worth families, managing diversified, multi-asset class portfolios with an emphasis on after-tax returns and liquidity optimization.

Outside of his professional career, Mr. Murphy represented Team USA in Freestyle Mogul Skiing at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.  He remains actively involved in the skiing community.  Mr. Murphy currently serves on the Investment Committee of U.S. Ski & Snowboard and previously served on the Board of Directors.

Mr. Murphy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Utah, graduating summa cum laude.
